IPC-1752 Material Declarations Management
Harris supports the IPC-1752 standard for Material Declaration Management and request that all suppliers adhere to its guidelines. The IPC-1752 standard is intended to simplify the reporting process and reduce the time, cost and complexity of acquiring materials declarations from a large supplier base. The standard allows suppliers to create just one form for each component and release it to all customers simultaneously, and is supported by Rosetta Net Partner Interface Processes. It also allows OEMs to request material declaration information in a standardized format so that suppliers can respond to them more quickly and accurately.
IPC-1752 builds off the Joint Industry Guide list of substances and substances groups by defining how to report information related to those substances.
This standard establishes six classes for declaration of materials. These classes are supported by two forms, IPC-1752-1 and IPC-1752-2. The two pdf forms incorporate the requirements of the IPC 1751 standard (Generic Requirements for Declaration Process Management). As such the IPC-1751 standard becomes a mandatory part of IPC-1752 and all conditions apply to the characteristics of the forms and the form completion requirements.
