Harris Corporation Wins 2009 Stevie Award for Best Overall Company of the Year
NEW YORK/MELBOURNE, Florida, June 29, 2009 — Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and information technology company, was honored with a Stevie® Award in the category Best Overall Company of the Year — More Than 2,500 Employees during the 2009 American Business Awards held June 23 in New York City. The 7th annual Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the finalists and Stevie Award winners. Harris, a Fortune 500 company with annual revenue of $5 billion and 15,000 employees, was recognized for its success in business growth, innovative technology, and corporate responsibility. The company has established a strong track record of revenue and income growth, driven by market expansion, new product introductions, and success in international markets.
