World Teleport Association Announces Top Operator Rankings for 2011

WTA Logo
Every year the World Teleport Association (WTA) accepts applications for its top teleport operator lists, which ranks companies based on revenue and year-over-year growth. Securing high rankings on these lists is a strong accomplishment recognized across the satellite industry as these lists represent the world's only rankings of their type. On December 13 the WTA announced its lists for 2011. Rankings are reported in three categories: The Independent Top Twenty, The Global Top Twenty, and The Fast Twenty. Harris global managed communications business, Harris CapRock, has scored high in each category and secured the #1 spot for Independent Top Twenty list.
  • The Independent Top Twenty ranks companies based on revenues from all communication sources but excludes companies whose core business is ownership of satellite fleets or terrestrial networks. As noted, Harris CapRock ranked #1 in this category.
  • The Global Top Twenty ranks companies based on revenues from all communication sources. Harris CapRock ranked #7 on that list.
  • The Fast Twenty ranks all teleport-operating companies based on year-over-year revenue growth in their most recent fiscal years. Harris CapRock ranked #20 on that list.
