Today, next-generation sensors are deployed on the GOES-R series of satellites as well as Himawari-8 and -9 over Japan and the GEO-KOMPSAT-2A over Korea. The GOES-R Ground Segment connects GOES-East and GOES-West to Earth, processes all the data and delivers the information and products to users and forecasters worldwide.
