As the storms formed and approached land in August and September, Harris technology was in place to help. The GOES-16 weather satellite provided NOAA forecasters with the most detailed hurricane information ever.
During the storms, Harris kept first responders connected – on the scene enabling effective first responder communications in the face of crisis, behind the scenes packaging and delivering radios to connect those helping with storm response.
After the storms, the Harris Foundation made donations to the American Red Cross and continues to match employee donations to help hurricane victims. The Harris Employees Actively Responding Together (HEART) program connected employees in need with colleagues who had volunteered to help.
