James F. Albaugh
James F. Albaugh, 68, is an advisor and consultant to financial services and investment firms. He served as a senior advisor to The Blackstone Group from December 2012 to July 2016. He was president and chief executive officer of The Boeing Company’s Commercial Airplanes business unit from September 2009 through October 2012. Prior to holding that position, he was president and chief executive officer of Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems business unit from July 2002 to September 2009. He joined Boeing in 1975 and held various other executive positions, including president and chief executive officer of its Space and Communications business unit.
Mr. Albaugh has been a member of our board since September 2016 and is a member of our Governance and Corporate Responsibility Committee and our Management Development and Compensation Committee.
Mr. Albaugh also is a director of Goldman Sachs Acquisition Holdings Corp. (since 2018), Arconic Inc. (since 2017) and American Airlines (since 2013). He served as a director of B/E Aerospace Inc. from 2014-2017 and TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. from 2007-2015. Mr. Albaugh is chairman of the National Aeronautic Association and is past president of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is also a member of the Board of Visitors of Columbia University Engineering School Board of Visitors, a member of the Board of Trustees of Willamette University and an elected member of National Academy of Engineering. Mr. Albaugh served on the board of directors of the Aerospace Industries Association from 2007 to 2012 and served as its chairman in 2011.
