BIOGRAPHY

Christopher E. (Chris) Forseth is vice president and general manager of the Space Superiority business unit within Harris Corporation’s Space and Intelligence Systems segment. Space and Intelligence Systems offers complete earth observation, weather, geospatial, space protection, and intelligence solutions from advanced sensors and payloads, ground processing, and information analytics.

Harris provides the full spectrum of enterprise architecture solutions needed to gain, maintain, and exploit space superiority. The Space Superiority business unit covers space protection sustainment contracts (SENSOR) and Space Control Depot Support as well as several range operation programs.

Previously, Forseth was the director of the former Electronic Systems for the National business unit and senior executive account manager for the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) with Harris Government Communications Systems. Electronic Systems was primarily responsible for research and development, sustainment, and operational support to Air Force and Army space superiority programs and space range capabilities through lifecycle engineering solutions.

Forseth joined Harris in 2008 as a program manager after a 21-year career in the U.S. Air Force, where he held a number of positions in the national space, special operations, and Department of Defense testing fields. Additionally, he served as an Air Staff program element monitor, legislative liaison, and commander of the Rapid Reaction Squadron for SMC, supporting various multi-service urgent operation needs.

Prior to being named to his current position, Forseth was the site manager for Harris’ Colorado Springs operations. Forseth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) and a Master of Science in industrial engineering from New Mexico State University.

Forseth is a past fellow from Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s lean aerospace initiative program and leadership development programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He is a member of the USAFA Association of Graduates and the greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.
