Harris Names Wayne P. Coffin To Head Controls Division

MELBOURNE, Florida — Harris Corporation has named Wayne P. Coffin, former president and CEO of Lucas Aerospace, Communications and Electronics Inc., as vice president-general manager of the company's Controls Division.

Mr. Coffin, 52, joined Lucas Aerospace, Communications and Electronics as president and CEO in 1988. Prior to joining Lucas, he was with EPSCO Inc. for 15 years, serving as vice president-treasurer and later president and CEO. Previously he was a senior financial analyst and director of finance-group controller at J. Hungerford Smith Co., Inc.

He received his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from Bentley College in Boston, Massachusetts and an MBA degree from the Boston College Graduate School of Management.

Harris Controls Division is headquartered in Melbourne, Florida, with operations in Canada, Australia and England. The division is a market leader in the design, development and installation of energy management and distribution automation systems that are used throughout the world to manage the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power.
