Harris Names Van Cullens to Head its Communications Sector
Mr. Cullens, who has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, most recently was senior vice president and head of the Internet Business Unit of Siemens Public Communication Networks Group.
Mr. Cullens joined Siemens Stromberg-Carlson in 1984 as vice president of marketing for GPT Stromberg-Carlson. He rose rapidly to positions of increasing responsibility during his career there and oversaw activities for a broad range of communications products and services including wireless communications, public telecommunications networks, central office and data switches, transmission and terminal equipment, long distance service, CATV, competitive access and others.
Prior to joining Siemens Stromberg-Carlson, Mr. Cullens held a series of marketing and business development positions with GTE Telephone Operations.
Mr. Cullens holds a B.A. degree in economics and psychology from Georgia Southern College, Statesboro, Georgia and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Industry Association.
