Developed by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials-International (APCO), Project 25 (P25) is a suite of standards for North American digital radio communications used by federal, state and local Public Safety organizations, enabling them to communicate with other agencies during emergency situations.

As a supporter of P25 standards, Harris has committed significant resources to both the development of P25 technical standards and the development of P25-compliant systems and products for the critical communications marketplace.

The Harris P25 system combines the benefits of an IP-based network with industry-recognized P25 standards. The result is a single, cost-effective, IP-based network that is reliable, scalable and secure while providing communications interoperability.

The Harris XG and XL family of P25 portable and mobile radios deliver clear, reliable and secure communication with proven interoperability.
