Organic Airborne and Surface Influence Sweep (OASIS)

The Organic Airborne and Surface Influence Sweep System (OASIS) is towed at high speeds through the ocean using the U.S. Navy MH-60S Nighthawk, multi-mission helicopter. OASIS rapidly clears larger shipping lanes layered with magnetic, acoustic and combination influence mines that lay in wait for surface ships and submarines.

OASIS neutralizes mines where mine hunting is not practical

The system detonates the enemy’s sea mines at significant water depths and is of critical importance in littoral zones, Q-routes, straits, choke points, fleet operating areas and amphibious objective areas. In regions where mine hunting is not practical, OASIS enables naval forces to neutralize the enemy’s offensive threats and overpower its defenses.
