L3Harris’ new Smallsat Perimeter Truss (SPT) Reflector is a highly accurate, highly compactable reflector that is compatible with reconfigurable beams and dynamic bandwidth allocation common on flexsats.

Offered in diameters up to 4 meters, the SPT Reflector stows to roughly one-third the size and 50 percent of the weight of our heritage designs. The reflector and boom are deployed by a single motor, reducing mass and complexity.

The SPT Reflector is ready for the most challenging Ka-band applications

The SPT Reflector boasts surface accuracies and radio frequency reflectivity for the most challenging Ka-band applications. The reflector is well suited for broadband missions, synthetic aperture radar, radiometry, internet of things and mobile satellite service applications. In addition, the SPT Reflector accommodates fast production schedules because of its size and because it’s modeled after our pre-qualified Perimeter Truss Reflector.

With the addition of the SPT Reflector to our diverse portfolio of reflectors, we now have large diameter reflectors compatible with every major spacecraft, from small Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) Secondary Payload Adapter (ESPA) class, to mid-sized flexsats, up to large classical geosynchronous equatorial orbit (GEO) satellites.

Perimeter Truss Reflector

Our high-accuracy, low-stowed Perimeter Truss Reflector scales from 3 meters to 22 meters. The reflector has up to 30 percent shorter stowed height than competitive designs and is up to 50 percent lower mass than heritage designs.

High Compaction Ratio (HCR) Antenna

HCR is a high-accuracy, large aperture antenna optimized for smallsats. The reflector achieves high communication gain typically available only from systems on larger satellites.
