Our solutions incorporate NAS-wide air traffic surveillance data feeds from the FAA, commercially-available cooperative and non-cooperative surveillance sensors, software applications for UAS operations support, display systems, and engineering services for design and deployment of airspace systems. L3Harris technologies enable safe and routine beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations for UAS in a complex and crowded airspace.

Airspace Surveillance

RangeVueTM is the first airspace situational-awareness tool designed specifically for UAS BVLOS operations. It provides real-time and precise surveillance of the operational airspace allowing UAS pilots to complete their missions safely and efficiently, while staying clear of manned aircraft traffic.

Detect-and-Avoid

RangeVue employs advanced algorithms to project potential collisions with manned aircraft. It generates graduated alerts to UAS pilots and recommends a range of evasive maneuvers for safe avoidance of those collisions.

Command-Non-Payload-Communications (CNPC)

The Harris CNPC radios and link service are the first aviation-grade communications solutions for UAS BVLOS operations. Our radios operate in the protected aeronautical C-band spectrum and are aligned with the requirements of the RTCA’s SC-228 MOPS and FAA’s TSO-213.

Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC)

Harris, along with our partners, developed an FAA-approved LAANC service, which provides UAS operators with access to the controlled airspace near airports.
