L3Harris provides quality optic solutions for industries such as aerospace, astronomy and microlithography. We manufacture a full range of precision optics and optical systems including mirrors, mounts, and metering structures for space-based platforms plus systems based on the ground, at sea, and in the air.

With 100 percent success rate, L3Harris has delivered optics or integration services for hundreds of programs including the Chandra X-ray Observatory, Hobby-Eberly Telescope (HET),and Southern African Large Telescope (SALT). We are currently working on the James Webb Space Telescope, Vera C. Rubin Observatory, Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope and Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) programs. Harris offers a full range of services – from design and development, to integration and testing, to supporting products and unique customer requisites.


Our high-precision optical products meet rigorous customer requirements, such as swift construction, affordability and superior quality. We can develop components separately or as assembled components for a complete optical system. From design and engineering to precision optics manufacturing, testing and system integration, we provide solutions for most needs. We specialize in large precision optics (16 inches or larger). And we manufacture small to large optical flats for ground-based laser fusion programs, medium and large off-axis aspheric mirrors for orbiting telescopes and a varying size range of spherical and aspherical mirrors for ground-based telescopes.
